La Salle Baseball Falls to Saint Joseph's 6-2

CAMDEN, NJ - Brendan Norton raised his average from .280 to .293 with a perfect night at the plate however it was not enough as La Salle dropped a Tuesday evening match up to Saint Joseph's 6-2 at Campbell's Field.

Norton went 3-for-3 and reached on a walk with a run scored and has now recorded 10 hits in his last five games as the outfielder begins to heat up in the month of May.

On the mound, La Salle sent five pitchers to the hill with mixed results. Shane Petrellis started and lasted four innings. The righty was tagged with the loss and allowed two runs off four hits with a walk and one strikeout.

Dominic Sgroi, Cody Weiss and Pat Christensen all threw scoreless innings for La Salle in relief.

The Explorers (25-19) didn't get on the board until the eighth when a two-out rally was capped off by back-to-back RBI singles from Danny Klem and Jeff Flax making the score 6-2.

La Salle will be back in action tomorrow when they remain in the state of New Jersey to take on Rider at 3:30 p.m. Live stats of the game will be available on GoExplorers.com
