Galloway Selected to Preseason Atlantic 10 All-Conference Team

PHILADELPHIA – Ramon Galloway was selected as an Atlantic 10 second-team performer in the preseason coaches' poll, the conference office announced today.

Galloway averaged 14.1 points per game last season and ranked second in the A-10 in three-point field goals per game (2.2) and field goal percentage (.443). He was named a second-team all-conference selection last year in his first season as an Explorer, after playing two years at South Carolina. Galloway was also recognized as a first-team All-Big Five performer and a second-team National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) District Four recipient.

In addition to his scoring prowess, Galloway finished second on the Explorers in assists per game (3.18) and third in rebounds (4.6/game) and steals (1.38/game). The stat sheet stuffer led La Salle to a 21-win season and a No. 3 seed in the postseason NIT tournament.

This season, La Salle has been projected to finish seventh in the conference's deep sixteen-team field after a 9-7 mark and a fifth-place finish a year ago. The additions of Butler and VCU will elevate A-10 play even further, arguably making the league the most competitive it has ever been.
