GENEVA, OH – The women's swim and dive team picked up three wins and one loss in today's meet against Butler, Duquesne, St. Bonaventure, and Xavier at the Spire Institute. The Explorers defeated Butler, Duquesne, and Xavier with scores of 258-70, 206-122, and 208-119, respectively. The La Salle squad could not topple the Bonnies, however, losing 182-151.
Senior
Elizabeth Jordan, currently swimming with a broken foot, put forth a fantastic meet with wins in the 200 yard freestyle (1:54.99) and 100 yard breaststroke (1:06.48). Jordan's times in these events are the fastest times recorded by any Explorer this season.
Junior
Katie Snee dominated the sprint freestyle events, claiming gold in both the 50 and 100 yard distances. She first took the 100 in a time of 53.26 and then won the 50 in 24.28.
Sophomore
Colleen Larkin added a pair of wins in the 1650 yard freestyle (17:28.40) and the 500 yard freestyle (5:05.06). Larkin crushed the field in the 1650, taking first in the event by a decisive thirteen seconds.
On the 3 meter diving board, the Explorers finished 1-2-3. Freshman
Kelly Quinn took first with a score of 222.90 followed by sophomore
Paige Frishkorn with a score of 205.20 and junior
Shauna Hannings with a score of 194.10.
The women swept both relays in the morning session, taking the 400 yard medley relay in a time of 3:58.48 and the 200 yard freestyle relay in 1:38.77. Jordan and Snee were members of both relays. Senior

Chelsey Curran swam the last two legs of the 200 yard freestyle relay, respectively.
The women's swim and dive team is back in action this Saturday November 10 when they travel to Newark, Del. to take on the University of Delaware and Rider.
