Hampton, VA — The La Salle Explorers closed out the 2026 Atlantic 10 Swimming & Diving Championships at the Hampton Virginia Aquaplex with a strong final stretch, with seniors Felix Jedbratt and Gabriela Herbreder receiving post-meet honors as well as Coach Kerry Smith. In addition, junior Carter Perkins punched his ticket into the NCAA Championships with his winning 100-yd free time of 42.37.
La Salle opened up Friday with the women's 400-yard individual medley, where Herbreder won and set a program record with a time of 4:15.21. She additionally won the 200-yd breast in 2:12.91, another program record.
In the men's 200-yd free, Perkins got third with a time of 1:34.55, another PR, while senior Carlota Ungo got bronze in the 100-yd breast with a time of 1:02.48.
Later, the women's 400-yd medley relay team of senior Rosalia Marin Martinez, Ungo, sophomore Cecilie Frost, and senior Tori Fenn won with a time of 3:40.26, another PR. In the same event for the men, the squad of senior Tarik Gusic, freshman Nicholas Medvedev, Jedbratt, and Perkins got second (3:10.09).
Gusic got bronze in 200-yd back with a 1:43.76 time, while Fenn won silver in 100-yd free with a time of 49.97. Then, Perkins sealed his spot in the NCAA Championships with his 100-yd free winning result.
Jedbratt won the 200-yd fly with a time of 1:42.6, another NCAA Championship spot punched with that result. With only the 400-yd free relays left, the women's team of Herbreder, Marin Martinez, sophomore Beren Celik, and Fenn got second and another PR (3:20.69), while the male team of Perkins, Jedbratt, senior Noah Fredriksson, and junior Austin Wakefield got third (2:54.68).
On the diving end, sophomore Calvin LeBlanc got second in the men's 3-meter (score of 347.85), and junior Tiffany Brawn got second as well in the women's 1-meter (278.75).
To conclude the meet, both Herbreder and Jedbratt received Most Outstanding Men's and Women's Swimmer by the conference, and Smith won A-10 Men's Swim and Dive Coach of the Year.
With multiple championship honors, individual podium finishes, and strong relay efforts to close the week, the Explorers wrapped up the Atlantic 10 Championships with momentum and depth on both sides.
