The 10th Annual "Friends of Bill Raftery" Golf Outing will be held at North Hills Country Club on Monday, June 18, 2011. ESPN and CBS college basketball analyst Bill Raftery '63 will once again serve as Honorary Chairman for the Golf Outing. The outing is coordinated by the "Friends of Bill Raftery" Golf Committee, in collaboration with La Salle Athletic Development. Funds raised during the golf outing directly benefit the La Salle Men's Basketball Team.

Golf packages start at just $300 and great sponsorship opportunities are available. Registration and a lunch will begin at 11 a.m. with a scramble shotgun start beginning at 12:30 p.m. Following golf, there will be a cocktail hour and helicopter drop at 6 p.m. with dinner commencing at 7 p.m.

Introducing the Friends of Bill Raftery Helicopter Drop

New this year! One lucky contestant will walk away with a cash prize. Take your chance at our closest to the pin ball drop and support the Explorer basketball program. Purchase golf balls in advance of the event. Golf balls are $25 for one and $100 for five. During the cocktail hour, our helicopter will hover over the course and drop the balls … closest to the pin wins half the pot! All balls must be purchased in advance; there will be no sales on the day of the event!
