2012-13 Men's Basketball Schedule
PHILADELPHIA – La Salle will begin conference play on January 9 at Charlotte as the complete 2012-13 men's basketball schedule was announced today by the Atlantic 10.
The Atlantic 10 also announced its television package, which includes three national appearances on the CBS Sports Network for the Explorers—a non-conference tilt with Villanova on November 25 and A-10 games at VCU (January 26) and at Temple (February 21).
Other tv match-ups are at Xavier on January 19 (CBS Sports Network-Regional), Saint Joseph's at the Palestra on February 16 (A-10 TV) and at Saint Louis in the regular season finale on March 9 (A-10 TV). Details regarding the outlet for these regional games, along with potential additional television exposure and game times, will be announced at a later date.
Following the addition of VCU and Butler to the league this season, La Salle's 16-game conference schedule includes a home-and-home with George Washington and one contest against every other school.
Butler will make its first trip to La Salle on January 23 since the 1993-94 season when both schools were members of the MCC. The VCU trip will be the first meeting between the two schools since head coach
Dr. John Giannini's first season in 2004-05.
Additional home Atlantic 10 games include Richmond (January 12), Dayton (January 16), Massachusetts (January 30), Fordham (February 9), Duquesne (March 2) and George Washington (March 6).
Other road A-10 games are at George Washington (February 2), at St. Bonaventure (February 13), and at Rhode Island (February 24).
In addition, an exhibition contest against Carleton University will be held at Tom Gola Arena on November 2. Carleton won its eighth Canadian National Championship in the past 10 years in 2011-12.
La Salle returns four of five starters from last year's 21-13 NIT team, including Second Team All-Atlantic 10 selection
Ramon Galloway, NABC All-District pick
Tyreek Duren, Atlantic 10 All-Rookie selection
Jerrell Wright and double-figure scorer

The Explorers will add Virginia Tech transfer
Tyrone Garland, redshirt freshman
