Women's Swimming & Diving Set for A-10 Championships


GENEVA, Ohio – The La Salle women's swimming and diving team will compete at the Atlantic 10 Championships, hosted by the Spire Institute in Geneva, Ohio, beginning on Wednesday, February 19. For complete coverage of the event, visit the Atlantic 10 Championship Central.
 
FREESTYLE
Colleen Larkin owns La Salle's top seed in the 500-yard freestyle, with a season-best time of 4:56.42. Larkin enters the meet seeded third in the conference. In the 1650-yard freestyle, Larkin enters fourth. She's coming off back-to-back A-10 golds in the event.
 
Greta Reichert is seeded eighth (4:58.29) in the 500-yard freestyle. Reichert comes in seeded first in the 1650-yard freestyle and 14th in the 200-yard freestyle (1:54.30). She finished third in the 1650-yard freestyle at the 2013 A-10 Championships.
 
Katie Snee is the Explorers' top short distance freestyler, seeded fourth (51.74) in the 100-yard freestyle. Last year, she picked up a pair of silver medals in the 50-yard freestyle and 100-yard freestyle.
 
Sarah Finn (52.24)and Tanawan Sukonthapanich (52.44) are seeded ninth, and 13th, respectively, giving the Explorers three of the top-13 seeds.
 
BACKSTROKE
Amina Wilson will look to make her mark in the 100-yard backstroke, as she enters seeded sixth (56.98). She comes in 13th in the 100-yard backstroke (2:05.76).
 
Chelsey Curran is not far behind, seeded eighth with a 57.29. Curran is also seeded ninth in the 200-yard backstroke (2:04.68). She is the school record holder in the event.
 
DIVING
On the 3-meter board, Paige Frishkorn is the top seeded Explorer, entering ninth (238.50).
 
BREASTSTROKE
Kelsey Jenkinson enters the conference championships with the top seed in the 100-yard breaststroke. Her season-best time of 1:02.58 is better than a full second ahead of the second seed. Her dominance this season has included her 200-yard breaststroke times, seeded first at 2:15.74.
 
RELAYS
The 400-yard medley relay team enters the event seeded fourth with a 3:49.80.
 
The 400-yard freestyle relay squad is seeded fifth (3:30.23). 
 
The 200-yard medley relay team comes in sixth (1:46.62).
 
The 800-yard freestyle relay is seeded seventh (7:40.94).
