GENEVA, Ohio – Sarah Finn,
Chelsey Curran, and
Amina Wilson each qualified for tonight's finals in their respective events at the Atlantic 10 Championships during preliminary competition on Friday afternoon at the Spire Institute.
Curran posted the top Explorer finish of the morning, coming in eighth in the 100-yard backstroke with a 56.69. Wilson wasn't far behind, registering a 10
th place finish of 56.84. Finn clocked a 1:52.07 in the 200-yard freestyle, good for 14
th place.
Julia Mann swam a 57.34 in the 100-yard butterfly, coming in 23
rd.
Lianne McCluskey filed in 27
th, touching the wall at 58.69.
Greta Reichert notched a 1:53.17 in the 200-yard freestyle, placing 24
th followed by
Colleen Larkin who finished 25
th with a 1:53.31.
Kaitlyn Hay swam a 1:55.46, good for 37
th and
Hayley Miles followed with a 38
th place time of 1:55.66.
Megan Baylis and
Tanawan Sukonthapanich finished 30
th and 31
st, respectively in the 100-yard breaststroke. Despite posting a 1:02.58, A-10 frontrunner
Kelsey Jenkinson was disqualified due to a false start.Â
The conference championships resume Friday evening at 6:30 PM.
