PHILADELPHIA - Nina Kauffman, who spent the 2012-13 season at La Salle before returning to school last year, has been rehired as an Assistant Athletic Trainer.
Kauffman worked with the women's basketball and men's soccer squads that year, and will be assuming duties for those two programs once again.
"I am excited for the opportunity to rejoin the athletic training staff at La Salle," Kauffman said. "I am looking forward to working with the athletes and staff, and to being a member of the La Salle community."
Kauffman spent the 2013-14 season as a graduate assistant athletic trainer at Ohio University, where she completed her master of science in athletic training. She did a masters research project on the development of a mobile phone application for tracking adherence to physical rehabilitation. During her time at Ohio U, she volunteered to provide training services to the school's marching band during the Beef O'Brady's Bowl in December 2013.
She completed her undergraduate work at Penn State in May 2012, earning a bachelor of science in athletic training, before her initial hire at La Salle in August 2012.
Kauffman is a licensed athletic trainer in the states of Pennsylvania and Ohio, and holds board certification and American Red Cross CPR certification.
