Women's Swimming and Diving | January 31, 2015
PHILADELPHIA- The La Salle women's swimming and diving team fell to the Penn Quakers 180-117 in a dual meet on Saturday at Kirk Pool.
Emma Smith continued her strong freshman campaign by winning a pair of races and coming in second in the 500-yard freestyle. The Nepean, Ontario native finished nearly eight seconds ahead of the next swimmer in the 1,000-yard freestyle (10:18.72), came from behind to edge Penn's Catherine Yee by .29 seconds in the 200-yard IM (2:11.18), and finished 2
nd by .42 seconds in the 500-yard freestyle (5:01.96) behind Penn's Virginia Burns.
Senior diver
Paige Frishkorn earned nine points for the Explorers by winning the 1-meter dive with a score of (251.18) while fellow senior
Dahlia Gordon took 3
rd in the 3-meter dive (237.83) to earn three points. Frishkorn finished 4
th in the 3-meter with a score of 237.83.

The Explorers will now turn their focus to the Atlantic 10 Championships at the Spire Institute in Geneva, Ohio from February 18-21.
