PHILADELPHIA - 20th and Olney, La Salle's alumni basketball team, has been officially selected for The Basketball Tournament, it was announced today. The former Explorers will play their first round games on July 16-17 at Philadelphia University.

The Basketball Tournament is an open application, 5-on-5, single-elimination, winner-take-all, basketball tournament. The grand prize is $2,000,000 for the winning team.
20th and Olney is comprised of members of the 2013 Sweet 16 Explorers in addition to two former La Salle legends. Tyreek Duren, Ramon Galloway, Tyrone Garland,
Jerrell Wright and
Steve Zack will join with Rodney Green and Steven Smith to form 20th and Olney this summer.
Last season, the 20th and Olney squad won its opener, 87-80, over Max's All-Stars before taking the #1 seeded Boeheim's Army of Syracuse alumni into overtime before falling, 92-91.
Four teams will advance from each region to compete in the Super 16, which will be played in The Gallagher Center at Philadelphia University from July 21-23.
The four regional winners who survive the Super 16 will then proceed to New York City to play at Fordham's historic Rose Hill Gym for the semifinals (live on ESPN) on July 30 and the $2,000,000 winner take all Championship Game on August 2.
