WASHINGTON, D.C. – La Salle University senior B.J. Johnson was selected to the Preseason All-Atlantic 10 Second Team, it was announced by the league at its annual media day in Washington, D.C. on Tuesday.
 
Johnson, who was recently projected as the No. 7 scorer in the country for the upcoming season by SI.com, averaged 17.6 points and 6.3 rebounds per game last season to lead the Explorers in both categories.
 
The #A10MBB Preseason Poll was also announced, with La Salle picked to finish ninth. The Explorers received 194 points, just four behind Richmond who is selected to end the year in eighth place.
 
Rhode Island garnered 27 first-place votes and is the preseason favorite to win the Atlantic 10, while St. Bonaventure earned one first-place ballot and is slated to finish second.
 
La Salle opens the season on Saturday, Nov. 11 against Saint Peter's at the Tom Gola Arena at TruMark Financial Center. Tipoff is set for 3:00 p.m.
