PHILADELPHIA - The La Salle University men's basketball team earned the No. 8 seed in the upcoming 2017 Atlantic 10 Tournament and will face ninth-seeded Davidson in a second-round game on Thursday, March 9 in Pittsburgh, Pa.

The Explorers, who closed the regular season with a 15-14 overall record and 9-9 against A10 foes, will tangle with the Wildcats (15-14, 8-10 A10) for the second time this season. In the first matchup on Jan. 19 at Tom Gola Arena, senior Jordan Price led four players in double figures with 29 points in a 91-83 win.

La Salle shot 57.4 percent from the floor and withstood a pair of outstanding performance from Davidson's Jack Gibbs and Peyton Aldridge. Aldridge had a game-high 33 points and nine rebounds while Gibbs pitched in with 25 points and seven assists. 

Last season, these same two teams met in the same round of the Atlantic 10 Tournament at Barclays Center, with Davidson earning a trip to the quarterfinals with a 78-63 win.
