PHILADELPHIA - The La Salle men's basketball team will be traveling to Belfast, Northern Ireland this winter for the first-ever Basketball Hall of Fame Belfast Classic! And fans that are interested in flying to the Emerald Isle to see their Explorers in action will have a little more time to get a discounted rate on airfare.
Aer Lingus, the official airline of the event, has extended the special family and fan rate deadline from Wednesday, May 31 to Friday, June 30th. Special rates have been negotiated out of the following airports:
- Flight from JFK to Dublin roundtrip rate is $469 including fees and taxes
- Flight from Newark, NJ to Dublin roundtrip rate is $469 including fees and taxes
- Flight from Boston Logan Airport to Dublin roundtrip rate is $479 including fees and taxes
- Flight from Washington Dulles Airport to Dublin roundtrip rate is $559 including fees and taxes

La Salle, Towson, Manhattan and Holy Cross are the four teams that will participate in the event that is scheduled for Dec. 1-2, 2017. The Explorers will tangle with the Towson Tigers on the first day of action at the SSE Arena. Times of the games have yet to be determined.
