PHILADELPHIA - The Friends of Bill Raftery Committee is pleased to announce that the annual Opening Tip-Off Basketball Practice & Reception will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 25 at Tom Gola Arena, beginning at 6:00 p.m.
La Salle University alumni and fans are invited to attend this exclusive event that will feature Raftery, a 1963 La Salle alum and lead college basketball analyst at CBS and FOX Sports 1, along with the 2017-18 men's basketball team.
Following the open practice, a reception will be held at Gola Arena with Mr. Raftery, Director of Athletics Bill Bradshaw and head coach Dr. John Giannini. A brief Q&A session will be held with Mr. Raftery as well as Coach Giannini. The hospitality area will include beer, wine, soft drinks, heavy hors d'oeuvres, as well as exclusive time with Raftery.
Tickets to the event are $50 per person and $75 per couple ($25 per person is tax deductible). A silent auction will be held, with all proceeds directly benefiting the men's basketball program.
