PHILADELPHIA – La Salle men's basketball player Demetrius Henry withdrew from classes at the University on Thursday, August 31, in order to pursue professional playing opportunities. 

"I appreciate all of Demetrius' contributions at La Salle," head coach Dr. John Giannini said. "I wish him all the best professionally and personally."

Henry saw action in 29 games during the 2016-17 season, averaging 5.8 points and 3.9 rebounds per contest.

The Explorers will begin the 2017-18 campaign on Saturday, Nov. 11 against Saint Peter's at the Tom Gola Arena at TruMark Financial Center.
