Amanda Chapin added two assists apiece for the Explorers, who have scored an impressive 17 goals over their last three games.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- La Salle had the first real opportunity of the match in the ninth minute, as sophomore Rialee Allen found herself with possession in front of goal. Richmond's goalkeeper Emily Braunewell was able to make a pair of stops to keep the match scoreless.
- Less than 10 minutes later, Willow Oh converted off a feed from her sister, Logan Oh, to put the Explorers on top, 1-0.
- The siblings teamed up again for the second goal of the match in the 30th minute, as Logan found Willow again to push the margin to 2-0.
- Karcher got in on the scoring spree in the 42nd minute, as she converted on a shot from distance off a feed from Chapin.
- The Spiders cut their deficit to 3-1 after a putback goal from Abra Granger.
- With just over five minutes remaining, Karcher struck again as she tipped home a pass from outside the circle by Chapin to account for the final tally of the match.
- Sophomore Emelynn Sneary earned the start in goal and recorded a save to pick up the first victory over her career.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Logan Oh's two assists give her eight for the season, which puts her in a tie for sixth on La Salle's single-season assists list.
- Chapin recorded her third consecutive multi-point match and now has seven assists on the season, tying for 10th on the all-time single-season list.
- For the season, the Explorers have scored 37 goals, their most since the 2013 campaign (42).
- The win snapped a three-match losing skid to the Spiders, the last two of which came by a single goal.
