PHILADELPHIA - The La Salle University men's basketball team will head to California for the 2018 Wooden Legacy Tournament on November 22-25, 2018. The Explorers will take on Miami (Fla.) in the first game of the event on Thursday, Nov. 22, it was announced on Wednesday. The three-day, 12-game bracket tournament will be played at Titan Gym on the campus of Cal State Fullerton.

The meeting, which will air live on ESPNU at 2:30 p.m. ET, marks the second straight season the two schools have faced one another, with the Hurricanes coming away with a 57-46 win in Reading, Pa. La Salle holds a 9-8 edge in the all-time series which dates back to 1951.
 
Other schools in the 2018 Wooden Legacy are Fresno State (Mountain West), Grand Canyon (Western Athletic), Northwestern (Big Ten), Seton Hall (Big East) and Utah (Pac-12). The winner of the La Salle-Miami (Fla.) game will take on the winner of Northwestern-Fresno State in the winner's bracket semifinal the following day. All 12 games of the 2018 Wooden Legacy will air on ESPN2, ESPNU and ESPN3, and available on the ESPN App.  All times listed are Pacific (other time zones).

Four schools from the 2018 Wooden Legacy field competed in postseason play last year.  Miami and Seton Hall earned bids to the NCAA Tournament, with Utah (NIT) and Grand Canyon (CIT) also advancing beyond the regular season.
 
The Wooden Legacy was formed in June 2013 when the John R. Wooden Classic was merged with the Anaheim Classic, which was an eight-school bracketed event played for six years (2007-2012) at the Anaheim Convention Center.
