PHILADELPHIA - La Salle University head men's basketball coach
Ashley Howard has announced the addition of Boston University grad transfer Cheddi Mosely to his team's 2018-19 roster. Mosely will be eligible to play for the Explorers immediately.
"We are excited to add Cheddi Mosely to the La Salle basketball family," Howard said. "Cheddi is an experienced winner who brings great pedigree and a winning mindset to our program. We are looking forward to having Cheddi join the Explorers this season."
As a freshman, Mosely was a Patriot League All-Rookie Team selection after shooting nearly 40 percent from three-point range. The 6-3 guard scored 20 points on 8-of-13 shooting against Lehigh and had at least three made three-pointers on nine separate occasions.
The following year, the Jersey City, N.J. native finished second on the team and eighth in the Patriot League in scoring at 13.3 points per contest. Mosely reached double figures 21 times, including a career-high 26 points against Binghamton. He ranked 10th in the conference in free throw shooting (77.7%) and 13th in steals (1.1 spg).
Mosely played in BU's first two games of 2017-18, tallying 12 points on 5-of-9 shooting against Northeastern in the season opener before a knee injury sidelined him for the remainder of the year.
