PHILADELPHIA – Swimming & diving is back in the water this Friday after three weeks off. The Explorers will take on Drexel for the 12th consecutive season with City 6 bragging rights on the line.
 
ABOUT THE EXPLORERS

• Sophomores Zachary Wolbert and Sara Rizzetto had strong weekends for the Explorers as each claimed two wins at the New England Catholic Invite. Wolbert's victories came in the 200 Fly and 400 IM, while Rizzetto finished top in the 200 Back and 200 IM. The latter won A-10 Female Performer of the Week for her efforts.
• Record-setting: Three La Salle times set new Invite marks that weekend. The Men's 200 Relay with a time of 1:24.82, Wolbert's 200 Fly which clocked in at 1:54.05 and senior Norm Gregory's 100 Free time of 46.15.
• Three other first-place finishes went La Salle's way in the lanes. Senior Marcus Forsgren claimed the 50 Free, sophomore Ian Venter in the 100 Back, and the Women's 200 Free Relay.
• On the boards, freshman Sam Henninger placed first in the 1-meter with a total of 282.90—a performance that earned him A-10 Male Rookie of the Week. Sophomore Phoebe Shaya also beat the competition to take the 1-meter with a score of 234.80.

 
SCOUTING THE DRAGONS

• This upcoming meet is Drexel's first of the season in something that has become tradition for the side in West Philadelphia. This is the eight year in a row that the Dragons have faced the Explorers to open their campaign.
• In single-meet competition, La Salle's men team has defeated Drexel the last three occasions, with the latest loss coming in 2011.
• The Explorers' women have fallen in the last two single-meet competition, but prior to that had won the previous five straight.
