PHILADELPHIA - The Friends of Bill Raftery Committee is pleased to announce that the annual Opening Tip-Off Basketball Practice & Reception will be held on Friday, Oct. 18 in Tom Gola Arena at TruMark Financial Center. The open practice will begin at 5:30 p.m.

La Salle University alumni and fans are invited to attend this exclusive event that will feature Raftery, a 1963 La Salle alum and lead college basketball analyst at CBS and FOX Sports 1, along with the 2019-20 men's basketball team and second-year head coach Ashley Howard.

Tickets are $40 per person, $60 for a couple of two and $25 for children. The children's admission charge includes a free t-shirt and membership into the Explorer Kids Club.

Following the open practice, Raftery and Coach Howard will introduce this year's Explorers, including the announcement of captains for the 2019-20 season. The hospitality area will include beer, wine, soft drinks, heavy hors d'oeuvres, as well as exclusive time with Raftery.
