Headspace

Development | October 28, 2020

PHILADELPHIA - La Salle Athletics is excited to announce a partnership with Headspace to provide student-athletes with an impactful app that will assist with managing stress, anxiety, lack of focus or any other symptoms that affect mental health.

The app, which will be free of charge to La Salle student-athletes, includes over 1,000 hours of sessions spread over more than 60 topics. These sessions, which can be completed in as little as 10 minutes, are intended to help you prepare, perform and recover better.

"I really love Headspace because it is not a "one-size-fits-all" model," Dede Gilmore, a senior on the women's cross country team and President of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, said.

"Headspace has its own paths that are based on where the individual might need their own guidance. Whether it is a push of motivation throughout the day, or a playlist that is crafted on making you focus on getting work done, Headspace has a lot of programs for stressful and anxious situations or for every-day encouraging of better habits like meditating or mindful exercise."

Headspace offers content specific to sport and performance, and has partnered with the industry leaders such as the NBA, WBNA, LPGA, MLS and US Soccer, as well as 100's of top companies from all over the world. For more information, visit www.headspace.com.
