Men's Basketball Takes Trip to Nation's Capital for Matchup with George Washington Saturday

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The La Salle men's basketball team hits the road for two straight, beginning with a matchup with George Washington in the nation's capital on Saturday. Tipoff is scheduled for 4:00 p.m., with all of the action available on ESPN+. An audio broadcast is free for all fans by using the Tune In Radio App or via Stretch Internet Radio.

NEWS & NOTES
•The Explorers are looking for their second consecutive win after taking down Fordham in a defensive battle, 58-49.
•The 49 points allowed was the lowest total a La Salle defense has allowed to an Atlantic 10 foe since the 2014-15 season (Saint Joseph's; W, 53-48; 1/27/15).
•Two Explorers reached double figures in the contest with the Rams -- junior David Beatty and sophomore Ed Croswell, who each had 12 points.
•Beatty came off the bench to post a strong all-around game with 12 points, three assists and three steals, which matched a career high.
•Croswell added nine rebounds to his point total, and ranks among the Atlantic 10 leaders in rebounding (8.0 rpg).
•The 6-8 forward grabbed six more offensive rebounds against the Rams, and currently leads all NCAA Division I men's players in offensive rebounding percentage (19.2%).
•He also ranks eighth in the Atlantic 10 in offensive efficiency rating (24.0), according to KenPom.com.

SCOUTING GEORGE WASHINGTON
•The Colonials return home after a two-game road trip that resulted in a pair of victories, including a 70-67 upset of Duquesne in Pittsburgh.
•Maceo Jack tallied 20 points against the Dukes to lead five players in double figures.
•Armel Potter, who leads the team in scoring at 14.5 points per contest, had a double-double against Duquesne with 11 points and 10 assists.
•Four players in GW average 30+ minutes per game, including Jamison Battle and Maceo Jack who are averaging over 35 minutes played per game.

ALL-TIME SERIES - GEORGE WASHINGTON
•George Washington holds a 23-18 edge in the season series between the two schools, entering the 42nd matchup on Saturday.
•The series began in 1951 when the Explorers defeated the Colonials, 85-63, at Convention Hall en route to a 22-7 overall record and a trip to the National Invitation Tournament.
•More recently, La Salle earned five straight victories over George Washington on its home floor prior to last season's narrow 59-56 loss.
•In that game, Isiah Deas was the lone player to score in double figures for the Explorers, who shot 34.4 percent from the field.
•GW had a rough first half, going 4-for-25 from the floor (16.0%) in the first half but turned it on in the second, shooting 67.9%.

D IS KEY FOR EXPLORERS
•La Salle had a season-best defensive performance on Feb. 19 against Fordham.
•The Explorers limited the Rams to just 19 first-half points and to 49 points for the game in a 58-49 win.
•From the floor, Fordham shot 35.0 percent overall but just 4-for-24 (16.7%) from three-point range.
•The last time a La Salle team held an opponent in the 40s was on Nov. 11, 2017 (Saint Peter's; W, 61-40).
•Additionally, the three-point percentage was the lowest by an A-10 opponent since Dayton shot 3-for-22 in a 66-55 win for La Salle on Dec. 30, 2016.
