PHILADELPHIA – The La Salle softball team (0-23, 0-17 A-10) celebrated Senior Day on Saturday as it honored seniors
Ashley Mendenhall and
Morgan Orlowski. The Explorers fell in a pair of games to Fordham (29-5, 12-0 A-10), 3-0 and 3-1.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Fordham tallied one unearned run in the third.
- The Rams added one in the fourth and one in the sixth.

- Orlowski (0-1) made her season debut with 3.1 innings of work. She struck out two and allowed one earned run on two hits and four walks.
- Junior Sarah Dowalo entered in relief. She fanned three Rams and allowed one earned on four hits.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- La Salle took an early lead as sophomore Victoria Zatko reached on an error which forced Little in from second.
- Fordham went ahead with a three-run dinger in the third.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- The Blue & Gold recorded six hits, led by Fagans with a 2-for-3 outing.
- Little, Zatko, and Dodson each had a hit apiece.
INSIDE THE CIRCLE:
- Dowalo (0-13) tossed a complete game with a season best six strikeouts. She allowed three earned on six hits and one walk.

La Salle will head to Saint Joseph's next weekend for a four-game series on Hawk Hill.
