PRINCETON, N.J. – La Salle men and women's swimming and diving will travel to the Garden State to take on Princeton University on Saturday, January 6
th, 2023.
The Explorers men enter the new year with a 3-3 record, and the women are 3-2-1 coming into this weekend's meet.
Scouting the Explorers (Women) –
- The women swam to a 192-108 win over A-10 conference member Rhode Island in their last meet of 2022.
- Carlota Ungo had her best individual performance of thee season against Rhode Island as she won four events.
- Toni Rafferty won three events against the Rams in the 200-medley relay, 50-yard freestyle, and the 200-freestyle relay.
- Phoebe Shaya set a new program record in the three-meter dive with a score of 317.78 against Rhode Island.
Scouting the Explorers (Men) –
- The men are coming off their biggest win of the season defeating NJIT 186-110.
- George Williamson won both distance races in the meet against NJIT.
- Trenton Burr had one of his best performances of the season as he took first in the 100-yard backstroke and the 200-yard backstroke.
- Sam Henninger and Carter Randall took first and second place, respectively, against NJIT in the one and three-meter dives.
Scouting the Tigers –
- The Tiger men are 4-1 overall this season and are most recently coming off a dominant 211-89 win over Cornell and a 185-115 win over Penn.
- The Tiger women finished first place in their last meet, the Big Al Invitational. Their overall record on the year is 3-2.
- Tyler Hong performed well for Princeton last time out as he got first in the 200-medley relay and the 100-backstroke.
