PHILADELPHIA — The La Salle women's rowing team will conclude its regular season on Saturday when it competes against local rivals Drexel, Jefferson, Saint Joseph's, and Temple in the annual Kelly Cup on the Schuylkill River.
"We're feeling good entering our final regular season race and last home race of the season," La Salle head coach Kelsey Franks said. "Excited to test our speed and make final tweaks before our conference championship."
The Explorers are coming off a solid performance at last Saturday's Kerr Cup, where they claimed two silver medals in the Varsity 8+ and 2
nd Varsity 8+. In addition, the Explorers' 2
nd Varsity 4+ finished fourth in the regatta.
The Explorers will look to perform better than they did last year at the Kelly Cup after placing third in the Varsity 4+, taking fourth in the Varsity 8+ and finishing fifth in the 2
nd Varsity 8+.
