Swim and Dive Comes up Short Against Drexel

PHILADELPHIA – The La Salle swimming and diving teams traveled to University City for its first road meet of the season, competing against Drexel.
 
The men's team lost by a score of 73-226, while the women fell to Drexel by a score of 119-169.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Carlota Ungo won La Salle's first event of the day, getting a time of 1:07.24 in the 100-yard back.
  • Ungo would win the next backstroke event, recording a 2:24.47 in the 200-yard back.
  • Felicia Rogell and Beren Celik went 1-2 in the 200-yard IM.
  • On the men's side, Felix Jedbratt got second in the 50-yard free with a time of 21.12.  He then got second in the 100-yard fly, recording a time of 48.94.
  • For diving, Lucas Dekaney won the 1m and 3m diving events. He got a score of 302.48 in the one-meter dive, and a score of 344.10 in the latter event.
  • Liam Cahill would finish runner-up to Dekaney in both events, with a score of 228.98 in the one-meter and a score of 292.28 in the three-meter.
  • Kelsie Waddington and Tiffany Brawn finished in the top two for both diving events. Waddington won the one-meter event, and Brawn won the other competition.

  • The Explorers return to Kirk Pool for its next meet, competing on the Friday of Homecoming weekend. The meet will start at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 8
