NEW YORK – The La Salle swimming and diving teams competed in their final road meet of the season prior to Atlantic-10 Championships, facing off against Fordham Saturday.

The teams both fell to the hosts, with the men's team losing by a score of 195-99, while the women's team lost 181-119.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Gabrysia Herbreder won the women's 200-yard free with a time of 1:56.68.
- Andrea Savoca picked up the men's first win of the day in the 100-yard breast, finishing in 57.49 seconds.
- Tori Fenn edged out Fordham's best swimmer in the 50-yard free, winning by a hundredth of a second.
- Carter Perkins won the 100-yard free with a time of 46.46.
- Savoca notched his second win of the afternoon in the 200-yard breast, completing it in 2:07.69.
- In the final women's event of the day, the squad of Emma Van Selm, Herbreder, Maren Schermerhorn, and Fenn took gold in the 200-yard free relay, getting a time of 1:37.32.
- On the diving side, Carter Randall won both men's diving events. Bryce Peterson got second in the one-meter event, and Liam Cahill placed third in the one-meter event and runner-up in the three-meter event.
- Tiffany Brawn got runner-up in both women's diving events.
UP NEXT
- The Explorers return home for its final meet of the season at Kirk Pool next weekend, facing off against Monmouth on Saturday, Feb. 1. The meet, which will honor the teams' seniors is scheduled to start at 11:00 a.m.
