FORT MYERS, Fla. – The La Salle swim teams travel down south alongside the coast to begin the second half of their 2024-25 seasons with a trip down in South Florida, competing in the Eagles Triple Distance Invitational on Saturday. The women's team will compete against Saint Peter's, Siena, and the host FGCU. The men's squad will face off in a dual meet against the Saint Peter's.
The meet starts in the morning at 10:00 a.m. Results will be available on the Meet Mobile App.

SCOUTING THE EXPLORERS (WOMEN)
- The women's team last competed in a tri-meet against URI and UMass on Dec. 7, winning against both opponents.
- The 200-yard medley relay team of Shailla Mejia, Carlota Ungo, Camilla Frost, and Emma Van Selm won with a time of 1:46.89.
- Gabrysia Herbreder was the first to finish in the 200-yard free, winning by nearly a full second.
- In the next event, Beren Celik won the 200-yard IM in a time of 2:08.13.
- Camilla Frost won her second event in a nail-biting finish in the 100-yard fly, winning by a hundredth of a second.
- Van Selm and Celik went one and two in the 100-yard free, with times of 53.33 and 53.45, respectively.
- Herbreder, Van Selm, Tori Fenn, and Maren Schermerhorn teamed up to win the 200-yard free relay with a time of 1:38.32.
- Fenn, Van Selm, and Herbreder collaborated again to win another relay alongside Felicia Rogell in the 400-yard free relay.
SCOUTING THE EXPLORERS (MEN)
- The men's team last competed in the Queens Fall Frenzy, finishing sixth out of nine teams.
- Felix Jedbratt received a t a podium finish in the men's 50-yard free, getting third with a time of 19.83.
- In the 400-yard medley relay, the team of Jedbratt, Savoca, Noah Fredriksson, and Carter Perkins finished third.
- Jedbratt won the 100-yard fly in a time of 45.4, setting a new meet record and a brand new La Salle program record.
- Savoca won the men's 100-yard breast with a time of 52.79.
- The men's squad had a team place third in the 200-yard medley relay.
- In the final day, Jedbratt got second overall in the 100-yard free, finishing in 43.18.
- Savoca won his second event of the weekend, winning the 200-yard breast with a time of 1:56.33. He set a new La Salle program record in the prelims, then broke his own record hours later in the championship heat.
SCOUTING THE EAGLES:
- The FGCU Eagles women's swim and dive team is coming off a third-place finish in the Eagles Holiday Splash on Dec. 19.
- In its conference championship last year, the team finished in third place.
- The head coach of the Eagles is Dave Rollins.
SCOUTING THE SAINTS:
- The Siena Saints women's swim and dive team recently competed in the ECAC Winter Championships over the weekend of Dec. 6-8, ending the weekend with a victory.
- Siena has a current record of 4-6.
- The team's head coach is Maggie Davenport.
SCOUTING THE PEACOCKS:
- Saint Peter's men's and women's swim and dive teams recently competed in the ECAC Winter Championships from Dec. 6-8. The men's team finished in fifth place, while the women's team had a seventh-place finish.
- The women's team has a record of 2-2, while the men's team record is 1-3.
- Jose Cruz is the head coach of both teams.
