Swim and Dive Teams Host Bucknell in First Dual Meet of 2025

PHILADELPHIA – The La Salle swimming and diving teams compete in their first meet at home this calendar year, hosting Bucknell on Friday afternoon.

The meet starts at 1:00 p.m. Results will be available on the Meet Mobile App.
 
SCOUTING THE EXPLORERS (WOMEN)
  • The women's team last competed in the Eagles Triple Distance Invite on Jan. 4. The team defeated both Siena and Saint Peter's, but lost to host FGCU.
  • Carlota Ungo got first overall in the 50-yard breast, with a time of 30.66.
  • Gabrysia Herbreder had another impressive showing, winning the 100-yard IM, the 200-yard IM, and the 300-yard IM.
  • Ungo, Beren Celik, and Denise Yushan worked together for a 1-2-3 overall finish in the 100-yard breast.
  • Celik and Ungo got first and second in the 150-yard breast event.
  • In the only relay of the meet, the 200-yard medley relay team of Herbreder, Ungo, Tori Fenn, and Camilla Frost won with a time of 1:48.68.
SCOUTING THE EXPLORERS (MEN)
  • The men's team's last meet was also the Eagles Triple Distance Invitational. The team defeated its lone opponent, Saint Peter's, by a score of 230-93.
  • Felix Jedbratt and Tarik Gusic won the first two events, with Jedbratt winning the 50-yard fly and Gusic winning the 50-yard back.
  • Carter Perkins took gold in the 50-yard, 100-yard, and 150-yard free events.
  • Jedbratt and Gusic continued their dominance with wins in their respective events, with the former winning in the 100- and 150-yard fly and Gusic wining in the 100- and 150-yard back.
  • In the 300-yard free, Owen Reilly won with a time of 2:50.91.
  • The 200-yard medley relay hosted the team of Noah Fredriksson, Andrew Wong, Jedbratt, and Perkins. Together, their time of 1:35.71 won the event.
SCOUTING THE BISON:
  • The Bucknell Bison men's and women's swim and dive teams last competed together in the Bucknell Invite from Nov. 22-24. The men finished fifth and the women finished second.
  • The men's team record is 2-2, while the women's team record is 3-1.
  • This is Bucknell's first road dual meet of the season.
