This Week In La Salle Athletics: Men’s And Women’s Basketball Open Regular Seasons, Men’s Soccer And Triathlon Compete In Postseaons

Here is a look of the action to come this week for La Salle Athletics, brought to you by Hershey's Ice Cream.

Men's Basketball

The Explorers will open the 2025-26 season against Coppin State on Wednesday at 6:30 pm for the first game under new head coach Darris Nichols.

As part of homecoming, the Explorers will take on Monmouth on Saturday at 3:30 pm.

Women's Basketball

On Thursday, the La Salle women's basketball team will open their 2025-26 season on the road at Loyola Maryland at 7:00 PM.

On Saturday, the team will take on Saint Francis as part of homecoming at

Thursday: Season opener at Loyola (Md.), 7:00 pm

Saturday: Home vs. Saint Francis at 12:00

Men's Golf

Thursday: Big Five Championship City Six at Plymouth Meeting, Pa

On Thursday, the La Salle men's golf team will play in the Big Five Championship against the City Six at the 1912 Club Plymouth Meeting. The Explorers are coming off their lowest round of the season at the ODU/OBX Intercollegiate last week in North Carolina.

Men's Soccer

La Salle men's soccer will play in the quarterfinals of the Atlantic 10 tournament Friday at top-seeded Saint Louis, with kick-off set for 8:00 pm ET.

Last Saturday, the Explorers tied George Washington 2-2 to secure a spot in the tournament. Senior defender Americo Pereira scored the equalizer and assisted the first goal.

Triathlon

Saturday: La Salle will be competing in the National Championship hosted by Arizona State in Tempe, Arizona. All six of the Explorers' participants in the East Regional Championship qualified for the National event – Fiona Davoudi, Sophie Brandwene, Gabriela Herbreder, Sofia Nordbeck, Beth Eldredge, and Luciana Ruiz. La Salle finished seventh place out of 20 schools in the East Regional, while Davoudi led individual scoring for the Explorers.
