Conshohocken, PA – La Salle field hockey fell to Davidson, 2-1, in overtime on Friday afternoon at The Proving Grounds.
The Explorers took a 1-0 lead in the second quarter when Natalie Forman scored off a penalty corner at 18:25, with Natalie Wilson earning the assist. La Salle carried the advantage into halftime before Davidson evened the score at 36:55.
Goalkeeper Abby Boggs kept the Explorers in the game, recording 15 saves against a season-high 29 shots from the Wildcats. Davidson eventually found the winner at 64:50, converting another penalty corner to secure the conference victory.
La Salle finished with 10 shots, including six on goal, and six penalty corners. The team returns to action on Sunday as they take on Columbia, celebrating their nine seniors.
