Princeton, NJ & Philadelphia, PA - On Saturday, the La Salle men's and women's rowing teams each entered three Varsity 8+ boats into races with loaded fields, each of which included Temple. The men traveled to #5 Princeton to face off with #18 Temple and #19 Georgetown, while the women stayed home to defend the Schuylkill at the Temple Invitational, featuring seven schools.

The men's Varsity 8+ placed third over #19 Georgetown with a time of 6:31.5 in their first race since dedicating their newest shell to former Head Coach Jim Kiernan '71. The 2-Varsity 8+ also placed third over Georgetown (6:49.5), while the 3-Varsity 8+ managed a win over Georgetown and Temple with a time of 6:54.9. 

The women's boats competed in two races apiece, during an AM and a PM session. The Varsity 8+ placed second of three in their morning heat (6:40.91), with a win over Monmouth and placed third in the afternoon (6:53.67). The 2-Varsity 8+ followed suit, placing second over Monmouth in the morning (6:54.21) and third in the afternoon (7:12.1). The 3-Varsity 8+ placed second of two in both sessions (7:32.21) & (7:50.31).
