Philadelphia, PA - The La Salle men's golf team finished fourth at the Temple Invitational Tuesday at The 1912 Club, leading the field in par-three scoring. The Explorers placed three players among the top five in individual par-three scoring, with senior captain Gavin Dosch tying for first at 1-over, followed by Payton Hawke at 2-over and Logan Paczewski at 3-over.
Dosch also led the Explorers overall, tying for ninth at 7-over. Paczewski finished tied for 19th at 10-over and was one of just nine players in the field to shoot a round under par on Monday.
Kyle Virsik tied for 24th at 11-over, while Billy Pabst tied for 28th at 13-over. Pabst and Hawke each recorded an eagle Tuesday, with Pabst carding a 2 on the par-four 11th and Hawke making a 2 on the par-four 13th. The Explorers finished with a three-round team score of 35-over (899).
Two Sundays from now, the Explorers will return to action at the Matthews Auto Collegiate Invitational at The Links at Hiawatha Landing on Oct. 4-5. La Salle returns to the event after taking last season off.
