Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC)

A student-athlete advisory committee (SAAC) is a committee made up of student-athletes assembled to provide insight on the student-athlete experience. The SAAC also offers input on the rules, regulations and polices that affect student-athletes' lives on NCAA member institution campuses.

NCAA SAAC

The purpose of SAAC is:

•  To promote effective communication between the Athletic Department, Administration, and the student- athlete population.
•  To encourage involvement of student-athletes in the campus and surrounding community life.
•  To promote better communication and camaraderie among teams.
•  To examine current NCAA rules and their effect on the student-athletes and make recommendations to the administration.
•  To serve as liaisons among the athletics department, coaches, and student-athletes
•  To increase awareness of the athletic programs on the campus and in the surrounding communities.
•  To increase general welfare and life student athletes
