Student Wellness Services Available to Students - March 25, 2020
- Daily tips and information will continue to be posted on our Instagram, Twitter and Facebook accounts. Like us or follow us to receive.
- Weekly updates on relevant health information will appear on Campuswell. (Sign up for the app or access through your La Salle app,in the third-party apps section).
- Weekly Wellness Wednesday sessions will occur on Wednesdays from 12:30-1 p.m. on the Wellness at La Salle Facebook page using Facebook Live, from April 1-29.
- Weekly Mindfulness Meditation sessions will be held on Thursdays from 12:30-1 p.m. with Kate Ward-Gaus on the Wellness at La Salle Facebook page using Facebook Live, from April 1-29.
- CHARGE, our partner providing nutrition services, will be providing sessions remotely. To access nutrition services, email kelsey@thechargegroup.com.
Student Counseling Center Services:
- Staff members will be checking and responding to emails during business hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
- Important contact information:
- The Student Counseling Center voicemail (215-951-1355) will be checked regularly on weekdays.
- Students who need immediate assistance should call 911 or Public Safety (215-991-1300).
- Students physically located physically in Pennsylvania can request a mental health consultation via Zoom (similar to our walk-in sessions) by calling 215-951-1355.
- Existing SCC clients who are located physically in Pennsylvania have received directions about scheduling ongoing sessions with their primary counselor/therapist.
- The after-hours tele-counseling service is available Monday–Friday from 4:30 p.m. – 8:30 a.m. and throughout the weekend. Call 215-951-1355 and press option #2.
- Students are also encouraged to consider using tele-counseling through their insurance provider. Information about how to access behavioral health services through your insurance provider can be found on your insurance card.

- Nurse Practitioners will be returning health- medical-related questions between 3 – 5 p.m. daily.
- Administrative questions or concerns will be answered in the order in which they are received.
- Students should seek assistance for COVID-19 symptoms through their primary care provider. Call before going to your doctor’s office or visiting an emergency room.
Substance Abuse and Violence Education (SAVE) Center services:
- Staff members will be checking and responding to emails during business hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
- Important contact information:
- SAVE Center voicemail (215-951-1357) will be checked regularly on weekdays.
- Students who need immediate assistance should call 911 or Public Safety (215-991-1300)Students who need to complete AAP, MAP, or risk assessments can do so through Zoom. Email Kim Brown to schedule AAP or MAP; email Kristen Shirley to schedule risk assessments.
- Students can schedule Title IX support Zoom sessions by emailing Laura Cilia (cilia@lasalle.edu).
- Existing AOD clients can schedule Zoom counseling sessions by emailing Kristen Shirley (shirleyk1@lasalle.edu).
