2023 Atlantic 10 Men's Basketball Championship Travel Options

TRAVEL OPTIONS to BROOKLYN, NY

  • There will be a La Salle University Fan Bus available for Explorer Fans to travel together up to Brooklyn
    • Price starts at $50 (not including price of tickets)
    • Bus will be located outside of Tom Gola Arena approximately four hours before the expected game time
      • Official Bracket to be released at 10:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 4th
    • If you are interested and/or have any questions regarding the Fan Bus, please contact the La Salle Athletics Ticket Office at 215-951-1999 or tickets@lasalle.edu. Located on the first floor of Tom Gola Arena at the Trumark Financial Center.

 

  • Amtrak Railway from William H. Gray III 30th St. Station to Barclays Center
    • Total estimated time of trip is about 2 hours
    • Take the NorthEast Regional or Acela train from 30th St. Station in Philadelphia to  Moynihan Train Hall at Penn Station in New York City.
    • Once arrived at Moynihan Train Hall, exit the building and walk about a half block down 31st St. towards Penn Station on your left.
    • Get on the subway at 34th St. Penn Station and take it for 11 stops towards Lafayette Ave. and Atlantic Ave.
    • Walk South down Atlantic Ave. towards the Barclays Center at 620 Atlantic Ave. 

 

DIRECTIONS to BARCLAYS CENTER

  • Driving Directions from Philadelphia to Barclays Center, 620 Atlantic Ave Brooklyn NY
    • Head north on Schuylkill Ave and then take the I-676 E ramp to Central Phila (0.3 mi)
    • Follow I-95 N and I-278 E to Hamilton Ave in Brooklyn. Take exit 26 from I-278 E.  1 hr 33 min  (94.4 mi)
    • Continue onto I-676 and keep left to stay on I-676
    • Keep left to continue on Vine St Expy, follow signs for Interstate 95/New York/Chester
    • Take the exit on the left onto I-95 N toward New York  (18.4 mi)
    • Use the right 2 lanes to stay on I-95 N toward NJTP/New York   (6.5 mi)
    • Keep right at the fork to stay on I-95 N and then use the left 2 lanes to take the exit toward I-95 N
    • Keep left at the fork and merge onto I-95 N   (47.7 mi)
    • Take exit 13 for I-278 toward Elizabeth/Staten Island
    • Use the left lane to take the ramp to I-278 E
    • Keep left at the fork, follow signs for I-278 E/Staten Island/Goethals Br./Verrazano Br. and merge onto I-278 E
    • Continue straight to stay on I-278 E
    • Keep right at the fork to stay on I-278 E, follow signs for Bklyn Qns Expy/Triboro Brg
    • Take exit 26 to merge onto Hamilton Ave then follow Hicks St to Atlantic Ave   (2.1 mi)
    • Merge onto Hamilton Ave then take slight right onto Hicks St   (0.9 mi)
    • Turn right onto Atlantic Ave and pass by Trader Joe's (on the right in 0.3 mi)
    • In 1.3 mi the Barclays Center will be on your right at 620 Atlantic Ave., Brooklyn, NY 11217

 

  • There are a number of different Public Transportation Options to get you from Penn Station in Manhattan to Barclays Center in Brooklyn
    • Fans looking to take public transportation can use one of the many subway lines that run through NYC. 
      • Eleven train stops are near the Barclays center including 2,3,4,5, B, D, N, Q, and R. 
    • Local bus lines to the arena are also an option and include B25, B26, B38, B41, B45, B52, B63, B65, B67, B69, and B103. 
    • Ubers, Lyfts, and Taxis are also always available as a form of transportation to get from Penn Station to the Barclays Center in downtown Brooklyn.
    • Fans can also drive themselves to the arena as there are plenty of parking lots, garages, and street parking available
