Jamie Platt

Jamie Platt finished his 17th overall season with the men's and women's swimming and diving programs in 2018-19. Platt served as an assistant coach for 10 years before earning the promotion to associate head coach in August 2012 and was named Head Swimming and Diving Coach in June of 2015.
 
During his 4-year tenure as Head Coach, La Salle’s Swimming and Diving teams have broken over 40 school records and a total of over 100 since Platt began coaching at La Salle.  Since his arrival, the Explorers have set won over 25 Atlantic 10 event titles and set 5 A-10 conference records. He mentored three A-10 Rookies of the Year and two US Olympic Trials qualifiers (Blase Szyszko '13 competed in the 100 & 200 Breaststroke events in 2012 and Mattias Glenesk '17 competed in the 1500 freestyle in 2016).
 
He has experience coaching swimmers from the developmental to Olympic levels. He came to La Salle in 2002 from Emmaus, Pa., where he was the Head Age Group Coach and Aquatic Director at the Emmaus Aquatic Club (EMAC). Platt is also a former member of La Salle's swimming and diving team.

Platt is currently the General Chair of the Middle Atlantic Swimming LSC Board of Directors, the sixth largest USA Swimming LSC in the nation. He is also a member of the College Swimming Coaches Association of America.  Platt was also the NCAA Division I Women's and Men's Swimming and Diving Championship's Meet Coordinator for nearly 10 years, overseeing the national championships operations.
