Karlyn Buker joins the La Salle softball program to work with the pitching staff after spending the previous two seasons as an assistant coach at Mount St. Mary’s, where she helped the Knights from an 11-win season the year before her arrival to 20 wins in 2017.
Buker spent the 2015 season at The College of New Jersey, where she helped lower the staff ERA from 3.38 in 2014 to 2.18 in 2015. She also helped the Pioneers win 20 games that year after a 10-win season in 2014.
As a player, Buker helped Tampa to a pair of Sunshine State Conference Championships and four NCAA Division II Regional appearances. The Spartans compiled a 142-35 record during her career, and she graduated in 2014 with a bachelor’s degree in Sport Management. Buker earned an MBA from Mount St. Mary’s in May.
