Jayme Callahan is in her second season as the assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at La Salle following two seasons as an assistant at Southeast Missouri State (2008-10). Prior to her coaching the Redhawks, Callahan served as head women's basketball coach for Division III Webster University in her hometown of St. Louis, MO for two seasons (2006-08). In her final season at the helm of the Gorloks' program, she coached one SLIAC All-Conference selection and three SLIAC All-Academic athletes.

"I am very fortunate to have Jayme on staff," Williams said. "I consider her a `jack of all trades.' She has been a head coach, assistant coach and also worked in compliance. Her energy level is through the roof."

Her other coaching stops have included one year as an assistant coach at the University of Missouri-St. Louis (2005-06) and three seasons as a head coach at two prep programs. In her only season at Putnam County High, she was named Tri Rivers Conference and District Coach of the Year (2002-03), and she was at Trinity Catholic High School for two years (2003-05).

A four-year starting point guard for Missouri Southern State from 1998-02, Callahan averaged 6.5 points, 4.0 assists, 2.5 rebounds and 2.1 steals per game over her collegiate career. She finished as the Lions all-time career leader in steals (225) and games started (107), starting every game since her freshman season. She also ranks second on the school's career assist chart with 429.

"I am extremely grateful for the opportunity that Coach Williams and La Salle University has given to me," Callahan said. "To work under a great leader such as Coach Williams, and with a successful staff in Coach Monier and Coach Dickerson, I am excited what the future holds for La Salle Women's Basketball and am honored to be a part of it."
