Tenicha A. Gittens returns for her second season as the Director of Women's Basketball Operations at La Salle in 2010-11. Prior to La Salle, she spent one season as an an assistant coach at McGill University in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. The 2007 Hofstra graduate played two seasons with The Pride and was named the team's "Sixth Player of the Year" as a junior.
Prior to stepping on the campus in Hempstead, NY, Gittens played one season of junior college basketball at Eastern Arizona College and helped lead the team to a runner-up finish in the ACCAC, the school's best finish in 15 seasons.
Originally from Montreal, Gittens played for Dawson, earning an First Team All-Star selection while averaging 13 points, four assists and three steals as a senior.
Gittens was also a member of the St. Vincent & the Grenadines Women's National Basketball Team for a pair of seasons which, in 2010, participated in the CAC & Caribbean Games for Women.
Other coaching stops for Gittens have included a season as the Head Varsity Coach of the boys' team at St. Georges High School and Head Coach of the Blue Hounds U17 and U15 AAU Girls Basketball team.
