2017: La Salle Scholar-Athlete of the Year… Atlantic 10 Commissioner’s Honor Roll… Began season at Paul Short Gold, finishing 6K in 21:15.2 (9/29)… Placed 23rd out of 181 runners in 6K at Princeton XC Invitational in 22:16.9 (10/14)… Finished 50th among 129 runners in 5K at A-10 Championships in 19:14.0 (10/28)… La Salle’s top finisher at NCAA Regional Championships, finishing 50th in 6K in 21:21.2 (11/10).
2016: Sidelined for most of the season…Top finisher for the Blue and Gold at the Main Line Invitational, taking 9th place with a time of 17:26.7 on the three-mile course…Finished the Paul Short Run (6k) in 21:42.
2015: Ran a time of 20:29.8 to finish in 45
thplace at the 2015 NCAA Cross Country Championship (11/21), the best finish ever by an Explorer...Defended her Atlantic 10 title by finishing 1st (17:09.4) at the Atlantic 10 Championship (10/31)... Earned All NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional honors by placing 8th with to a time of 21:12.7 (11/13).. Won the Lehigh Invite (9/4) with a time of 21:44.5....Finished 16th at the Princeton Invitational (10/17) with a time of 21:41.2
2014: Was the first Explorer freshman to ever qualify for the NCAA Championships after coming in fifth place at the Mid-Atlantic Regionals (11/14) with a time of 20:34… earned Atlantic 10 Performer and Rookie of the Year honors after winning the Atlantic 10 Championships (11/1) with a time of 17:31.2… ran a 21:40.7 at the NCAA Championships (11/22) for a 169
th place finish… kicked off the season with a 17
th place finish at the Duquesne Duals (8/30) with a time of 19:14.7… finished eighth at the Friends Big 5 Invitational (9/12) with a time of 14:41.3… notched a 20
th place finish at the Paul Short Run (10/4) thanks to a 20:35 time…ran a 21:41.1 at the ISU Pre-Nationals (10/18) for a 57
th place finish… was the top Explorer finisher in five of six team races she ran in this season.
High School: Competed in the Nike Nationals in the mile as a senior… owns the New Braunels High School record in the mile… team finished second in the Texas State Championship… chose La Salle over Wisconsin, Texas, Ole Miss and Syracuse.
Personal: Her father, Joe Czekely Jr., played ten seasons of minor league baseball in the Dodgers, Pirates, Blue Jays and Braves organizations and has worked as a coach and manager in the minor leagues since his retirement… her grandfather, Joe Szekely Sr., played in the major leagues for the Cincinnati Redlegs in 1953… has a great uncle, Jack Wilson who chosen second overall in the 1942 NFL draft by the Los Angeles Rams, playing two seasons with 123 rushing yards and a touchdown.
