Caroline Wojtas

Caroline Wojtas

Caroline Wojtas enters her first season as assistant coach of the Explorers. A former water polo player at VMI, she arrived at Kirk Pool after a distinguished career for the Keydets where she set the program record for most games played with 119. After graduating in 2019, she coached for a year at VMI on a volunteer basis.

Wojtas was among the team's top providers during her playing days. Her senior year, she finished with 35 assists to go along with ten goals. She was also among the team's most academically distinguished, picking up honor roll recognition throughout her career and landing on the MAAC All-Academic Team in 2019.

She graduated with 3.896 GPA and a degree in psychology. Her academics did not end there, however, as she is currently a first-year clinical psychology doctoral student at La Salle.

Hyham had this to say on Wojtas' hiring: "I am very happy with Caroline joining our coaching staff.  I think her experience as a former player in our conference and also as a coach at VMI will help add to the leadership of the team.  I am confident that her contributions will be an immediate positive impact to the future successes of this team."

Wojtas herself is excited for her first season with the Explorers: "I have really enjoyed watching Coach Hyham and the players at La Salle transform the team over the past few years. I am really excited to now join the coaching staff and help the Explorers on what looks to be a very promising season"
