Abby Vurraro joined the La Salle sports medicine team in 2026, with the sport assignments of men's soccer and men's and women's track and field.
Prior to her arrival at 20th and Olney, Vurraro most recently completed an immersion with the University of Pennsylvania track and field team as a graduate student. She also had the opportunity to assist in managing medical care for Penn Relays.
Vurraro graduated with her Master of Science in Athletic Training in 2026 from the University of South Carolina, and graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with a concentration in Movement Science from the Pennsylvania State University in 2024. While at Penn State, Vurraro published research in the Journal of Clinical Medicine regarding concussion recovery.Â
Vurraro is an active member of the National Athletic Training Association (NATA), and is Mental Health First Aid certified.Â
