Dr. C. Andrew “Andy” Lafond serves as La Salle University’s Faculty Athletic Representative, acting as a liaison between the academic and athletic communities to support the integrity of the student-athlete experience. A proud La Salle alumnus and former varsity wrestler, Dr. Lafond brings a unique perspective to the role—one shaped by his own experience balancing athletics and academics.
Dr. Lafond holds a B.S. from La Salle University, an MBA from Drexel University, and a Doctor of Business Administration from the University of Sarasota. A licensed Certified Public Accountant, he is a seasoned professor in the Accounting Department, teaching Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting, Federal Taxation, Taxation of Business Entities, and Business Perspectives. In addition, Lafond has over 30 years of experience in public accounting, having worked with national, regional, and local firms and has operated his own practice since 1994, serving a wide array of small businesses and individuals.
As Faculty Athletic Representative, Dr. Lafond is dedicated to promoting student-athlete well-being, academic success, and compliance with NCAA standards. Lafond’s experience as a professor and former athlete makes him a passionate advocate for student-athletes, helping ensure that their educational experience is as strong as their athletic one.
