La Salle University Athletics

Christine Cahill, who spent eight years as an Assistant and Associate Academic Director, will begin her ninth year as Director of Academic Support for Student-Athletes at La Salle in 2022-23. In her role, she oversees the academic services for the student-athletes office and is the primary academic advisor to the men's basketball team.
 
Cahill has served as the academic advisor for the men's and women's basketball teams as well as several other Explorer programs.

She has been instrumental in the academic success of La Salle student-athletes, who consistently rank among the top of the Atlantic 10 in Commissioner Honor Roll members, Academic All-Americans and Academic All-A-10 honorees.
 
While teaching second grade in North Philadelphia for 13 years, Cahill worked part-time providing academic support with the men's basketball programs at Philadelphia University, Saint Joseph's and Villanova. 

She received a bachelor's degree in marketing from Saint Joseph's in 1989 and a master's degree in elementary education from Cabrini in 1992.
