Joe Kraus joined the La Salle University Athletics Department as the Athletics Communications Graduate Assistant in August 2026.
At La Salle, Kraus serves as the primary communications contact for men's soccer, men's and women's cross country and track & field, and women's rowing. Kraus recently has worked as Athletic Event Support Staff for Harford Community College, working various game operations roles. He worked the 2025 and 2026 NJCAA Men's Lacrosse National Championships. He also comes from working at the Aberdeen IronBirds, former Minor League Baseball affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles and current member of the MLB Draft League, serving as a photographer and camera operator with them.
A 2024 graduate of Arcadia University with a degree in Media & Communication, Kraus served as a student photographer in the college’s sports information office.
The Maryland native also has experience as a freelance videographer, notably operating live cameras at athletics events at American University and George Washington University. Additionally, he has done freelance photography for Arcadia University's Alumni Advancement department, as well as photographing the 2025 NASCAR weekend at Dover Motor Speedway for TobyChristie.com.
His work has been featured by the NHL, NCAA, Minor League Baseball, Mid-Atlantic Sports Network, and Monumental Sports Network.
Kraus is currently pursuing a Master's in Strategic Communication at La Salle.
