La Salle University Athletics

Sean Rafferty joined La Salle University’s athletics department in February 2026 as the Assistant Director of Compliance. In this role, he assists in ensuring adherence to NCAA, conference, and institutional regulations. 

Prior to La Salle, Rafferty served as a Graduate Assistant in the Bowling Green State University athletics department while earning his master’s degree. His experience there further developed his knowledge of compliance operations and collegiate athletics administration. 

Rafferty earned his bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Arcadia University, where he was a four-year member of the men’s basketball team. His time as a student-athlete helped shape his passion for collegiate athletics and compliance. 

He has also participated in the NCAA Career in Sports Forum (2023) and the Emerging Leaders Seminar (2024) in Indianapolis, further strengthening his professional development within intercollegiate athletics
