Tyler Kish joined the La Salle University Athletics Department in December 2025. 

Kish arrives in Philadelphia after serving as the Assistant Director of Athletic Communications at the University of North Carolina Wilmington.

At UNCW, Kish was the sports information director for the women's basketball, women's soccer, men's and women's cross country, men's and women's track and field, and men's and women's tennis programs.

Kish specialized in writing feature stories, game notes, previews, game recaps, creating media guides, and broadcasting select sporting events for the athletic communications office.

Ali Zelaya became the second women's basketball player in UNCW program history to earn CAA Defensive Player of the Year honors after setting the Seahawks' program record with 81 blocks during the 2024-25 campaign.

With the women's soccer program, Kish covered UNCW's record-breaking season as the Seahawks captured the 2025 CAA South Division title with an 11-3-4 overall record and 7-0-2 mark in conference play. UNCW's .722 overall win percentage was the best in program history.

Chris Neal was named CAA Coach of the Year, and Hailey Longwell became the first player in program history to be named CAA Attacking Player of the Year.

In 2025, the UNCW men's tennis program won its fifth straight and 11th overall Coastal Athletic Association championship.

Harold Huens earned CAA Player of the Year honors for the second straight season, and Mait DuBois was named CAA Coach of the Year for the 11th time.

The track and field program also had six student-athletes capture individual CAA championships during the 2025 outdoor season.

Before UNCW, Kish started his career in collegiate athletics as an Athletic Communications Assistant at Binghamton University.

He covered the women's lacrosse team during their run to the 2023 America East Championship Game where Stephanie Allen earned Coach of the Year honors for the Bearcats.

A native of Emmaus, Pennsylvania, Kish enjoys attending sporting events in his free time and is a lifelong fan of the Pittsburgh Pirates.

He holds a bachelor's degree in communications, graduating from Clarion University of Pennsylvania in December 2019.
