Fabian Bergman has been named La Salle's Athlete of the Week after helping the Explorers finish third in the Bucknell Invitational over the weekend.

The freshman set a school record in Sunday's 200-yard backstroke final, reaching the wall in 1:46.50 to win the heat.

Bergman also won Saturday's 100-yard backstroke final (48.71).

The Stockholm, Sweden native was a member of La Salle's 200-yard medley relay team that placed first with a time of 1:31.31.
